Grab your dancing shoes as we explore the world through the eyes of Hallie Kuperman, the ringmaster behind Capitol Hill’s vintage dance hall, The Century Ballroom. Hallie has cultivated a safe space for people of all dispositions and genders to get into the groove as she has stood at the helm of partner social dancing in the Seattle area. Hallie discusses the subtle, yet subversive ways in which the dynamics of following and leading in partner social dancing can create a gender-bending, open environment for dancers to discover their own flair and break free of social expectations.
